Day 110- Writing reviews and new resolutions (31/12/10)

2010 started well, had everything i ever wanted, everybody i ever needed. Lived a high and mighty life. However, in the middle of it, life became a little wobbly, needing to pass things down, faith and believe was tested. Then came the major decisions to make (am i going to Manchester, or Staffordshire ... must i leave?) Didn't enjoy any of that process... it was really tough... and then at last, decision was made... to Manchester i said. It's been a little more than 3 months now being here, in church Pr Peter ask us to write something that we would thank God for and I asked myself this question am i thankful that i'm in Manchester? I think for a while and I answered no, because coming here seems like me losing everything, everyone. It hurts and it still does, but I know I should be thankful, because i trust that God has a purpose for me being here. I should be thankful that God is building me up once again, giving me new friends, new people around me, out of my comfort zone into a war zone. As a leader I've slacked, being new here, I thought to myself, I'm in no leadership position, means i'm no leader, means i don't need to act like one, means how i live doesn't really matter to anyone here. And because of all this dumb thoughts, i've been late for everything. I didn't live up to how a leader should. Just now in prayer I realize that even if I'm in no leadership position I still need to get ready for battle. So that anytime the trumpet for war goes out, i'm ready for battle. So the resolution for the new year : Getting ready for battle and be a humble leader.

I went to church just now from 7.30-10pm then after that i was suppose to go down town with my friends for countdown, but Shyen Wei invited us over to celebrate new year and to watch London's countdown.

We had pizza and chips, when i see the live broadcast for the count down, i thank God that i wasn' t there, it was so crowded.. I wouldn't like it..we were at Shyen Wei's home commenting on the camera-mans their angle was really bad... =P.. i'm just glad i watch it through a television rather than being there. =) we had games.


Peter likes Simpson so here we have simpson UNO cards... it was good..

I was winning at first, look at the scores, to the far right is mine... then... i lost.. =P

After that we played Monopoly... it has been ages since I last played this game.. =) it was fun..

Me and Pr Peter tied, we won, as in we ended the game early so we had to count our properties and cash... =)
I came back home at around 2am.. =) Shyen Wei drove me back.. =)
New Year's going to be great... let's start with me going to bed early... =) so i hope.. so Happy New Year everyone. Chaoz

Day 109- Trip with Ayden to Stockport (30/12/10)

Elou, This is going to be about ma day trip, I shall start what happen last night.
Well, as you know it was the hokkien mee night.. so they were all prepared for their trips.. and i couldn't take the fact that it's boxing day and i'm not going anywhere... as VAT aka Tax is going to go up after new year... so i started finding places to go i started with Cheseter the place that I've gone before... then i felt it was not so nice if i revisit the place.. so i happen to take some flyers for the train as in their information of time.. so i just check which station was near Manchester.. i've check a few places and Stockport's the cheapest and nearest.. so hit it.. i thought i couldn't get the ticket that's when jie ask me to try national express and i did.. haha.. it was fun
My train was at 11.35am... i ran late... the bus that was suppose to take me there... as in oxford link past me... just like that and i have to wait for another like 10 minutes.. so that's what got me late... ok la.. i admit i'm not so good of a time keeper.. =P

too bad.. we didn't need it alot.. haha.. we went out of the station and saw FREE SHUTTLE.. and of course we ran and sat on it.. Free what... no need to walk some more.. =P

I was there... there was no one.. i looks irrie la.. so i didn't really dare to step inside the compound that's why most of the shots only shows it's surrounding... ok up till this pic.. i didn't want to step in... then... i saw a guy walking pass this.. so i walk too lo... ho seh liao.. walk till half way.. i actually know what's under because when i went to Chester some one once explain to me... so ... ok let's continue... half way.. this is what is read on the floor... here lays the body of blah blah blah... this is when i was about to leave the church... some one saw me taking photos of ayden and they were laughing then the old lady ok la.. the aunty was really kind.. she ask me if i wanted to be in the pic.. so i told her it's ok .. =) cannot let people feel that i'm under privillage cause i'm travelling a lone.. so must act tough.. and also.. i wouldn't wash photos... with me in this type of pics... hehe...

This is the most interesting i've found.. hair cut for ladies only cost 5.50 pounds.. but becuase of time i can't go in and have a hair cut.. so I WILL BE BACK!

look who's there? this is what i love most about being in this trip and this doesn't cost much it's like 1.92 for this small piece... =) i cut it into half... so that i can enjoy it twice... what to do... no sushi here.. even if they have... it's hard..

In all it was a adventure trip though there's no lions or wild animals but going to a place where you don't know, haven't been before and the only thing you check online about it is where's the shopping mall... Woo hoo.. this has really been a frightening yet brave trip.. still didn't get any clothes or shoes.. but i had fun... and when i reach Manchester i was like ou finally... a place where i know where's what... =)
it's cool... time to find next place to go.. ou... forgot to add in a point this trip i only spend like 5 pounds without including the train fee which is paid online.. =)
how nice is that.. i should have lengthen the time.. =)
God is so so good in providing and keeping me safe... He's awesome.. and to dad, mom and jie, thanks for giving me all the support and love... I love all of you.. =)
Tomorrow's the last day of the year.. though it has no impact on me cause... to me my year here is still a long long way to go... but let's hope for the nicest thing to happen tomorrow.. =) Yippe!!!!!

Day 108- 2nd boxing day (29/12/10)

I woke up today.. did some computer stuff... then i started the Narnia marathon again... tsk tsk tsk... yesterday night the boys came over our side to cook dinner and we were watching Glee together till quite late.. like 1-2am... it was really fun.. it would be the last few time we get to be together for this year as all of them are leaving tomorrow to London so we decided to have buffet lunch this afternoon, it was fun.. then later we went shopping.. but i walk separate ways cause i just love shopping alone.. i tried to find something i can buy... i saw a toy... 2 pounds.. then i ask myself a few questions and i just put it back... saw a shirt ... ask questions again... put back... in the end i bought nothing... bravo kan? cannot take it man... everybody has something to buy except me.. 3but at least i got Narnia books rite... was thinking of going to Trafford center or making a trip down to Chester for some shopping... do u think i should do that? as in if I'm here alone.. there's not much to do also rite..? but one thing.. my leg is still hurting.. i think it's abit swollen.. =P
ok lets go back to what happen today.. after we came back we were all tired.. then i just felt that i want to eat hokkien mee... so i did cook well not all.. the boys came over.. 1 of them did almost all of the cooking... =) so we had hokkien mee at 11.20pm... it was like 8 of us.. then we couldn't finish so we send it to another apartment... =) it's nice..
Anyways I'll be alone from tomorrow on till 2nd January.. so .. =) i'll go back to Narnia now.. hehe.. chaoz..

Day 107- My first Boxing day experience~(28/12/10)

Woke up at around 12-1pm... was really tired after the camp and then i stayed up till about 4am so... that's the result of it...=)
Went to town to buy groceries as... my flatmates are leaving on the 30th and if they're gone... i got nobody to cook for me.. *hehe paiseh* so i gotta replenish some easy cook food.. =)
went around to see what boxing day is and found this..

Ta-da~ 7 books of narnia for only 8 pounds!!!!!! this is super duper cheap ok.. it was like 35 pounds originally... and online u can get it only around 9 something the cheapest... woo hoo.. so super duper happy la... now i no need to watch shows everyday cause i have these.. but a bit bad also la.. i need to study wan but.. i'm too interested in it to neglect it's presents... so.. =P
Had a really bad gastric pain... eat medication and prayed.. was well the next morning... all praise and glory be to God. =)

Day 106- Break camp (27/12/10)

Woke up later than usual this morning as in 7.45am... in camp the usual was 7am.. i've packed my stuff last night.. so i've got lots of time.. it was raining last night so the skies were gloomy so no sunrise picture.. =(
before breaking camp they played a video on the song "people need the Lord"... well if all of you reading this can.. please pray for Manchester... pray that as Jesus can revive the dead, that he also can revive the spiritual death of manchester. I haven't found a church who speak in tongues and don't do weird things... as in... i don't really know how to put it.. as in not that weird la.. something like ours... Pray that our generation will rise up as in be lively for God.
Had fun knowing new people in camp and know that more people know me and i'm no more alone... let's see on friday because my friends will be going down to London and i've gotta go to church alone again... =)

the rivers were turning into ice and can you see the snowy mountains.. during spring .. the trees were red and orange... i've seen it on the way back from welcome camp... it's really beautiful..=)
came back.. wash my clothes, made dinner and watch TRON... haha.. to my suprise.. i watch the wrong one ... i watch the old version one as in the one from the 80s or 90s i guess.. cause the graphic was... hehe... u fill in...
ou yeah when i came back i saw a christmas present hanging on my door... it's a blue nose husky toy... =)... too lazy to take a pic of it.. will do tomorrow.. so stay tune... i'm quite tired after a day of work and play.. got to go bath and ... =) see ya in my dreams.. tata.. =)

Day 105- Sledding day~ (26/12/10)

It's boxing day~ people are busy shopping while i'm in camp..=( but it's ok.. it was my choice to be with God than be else where...

I made a few new friends so ... =) they help me out and i went sledding.. no photos of me sledding but this is what i sat... =) it's fun , i sled down the slope of snow.. woo hoo.. getting to know more friends so i'm not that lonely anymore.. and we actually started to sit together as a group to have food... that's nice.. =)
Last day of camp... well their camp isn't much like ours.. like ours have alter call and stuff after message but theirs doesn't..and they don't pray in the spirit... they said their precher preach lively messages but.. through All the messages... i was 30% zZz... as in i was fishing la.. I wonder weather... they have really experience what we have... the flow of the spirit.. and stuff like that.. as in .. in camps ... we all love camps because it's where we see wonders and come really close to God and it was really great.. but i don't know... there's just no church like my home church.. i know i need to adapt but... it's different here. maybe it's because i'm still not used to the people here.. because most of them grew up in manchester and it's their home church so maybe that makes all the difference...
Played UNO with my team till around 12am ... we had a good game.. they play it in teams as in it's break into 2 teams then your team can help you by intercepting if they have a same card.. well we really had fun time playing that and that really made us have a closer relationship.
