Chak! this what we received this morning =) dua saman, sekeping 25 pound, dua 50 pound canggih kan? cause we over slept and didn't go down and pay parking ticket. =]
After that we went to the beamish open air museum, well it cost 13 pounds, at first i thought it's too expensive to go in but after going in .. i don't regret at all..=)
We sat on different types of transportation
It was all transportation of the old.. =) trams, train, carriots and lots more.
The whole musum is base on the 19 century, really historical and special.. love it lots
This is how kids were taught in the boarding school, a teacher wit a blackboard.. =) , kids have thier own black board.. see the small boards in the side?
And we got to see how miners work
this were all they had to see in the dark, the lamp lights a really small fire, miners have to work in total pitch dark with sharp tools in some cases in less than 2 feet height.. really hard and dangerous work
this is a better lamp which can be used using water, but it's not cheap so this are only used those in high poses.
I'm short so i can stand up straight, my friends couldn't .. =) another good thing about shorty.. = )miners bring in a lamp and a singing bird, there are two signs that the miners look at first is if the fire turns into blue in color, it means there's dangerous gases and they must leave immediately, another is the singing birds stop singing, they will also have to leave immediately.. i just watch a series that talks about mining before going so it makes me understand more on why that guy bring his bird into work everyday~
really dirty and hard work, some sides are fill with rust in the water, it will stain your cloths shoes and everything if you touch it..
those that drive the train and trams were mostly aged people..
saw a scottish terrier... looks totally like the one we see in Monopoly.. =)
look at the candy shop.. just like those they have in the old films
this is their printing press, they have to put letters by letters to make a whole page of news.. hard work.
Learn how to used ink writing.. but my handwriting is .. hmm.. =p
When we first saw this sign we were like, we know steam fish, steam chicken, steam elephant??? haha.. we were laughing it thru.. it wasn't as we though of course there weren't any dead elephants for food..=p.. it's a steam train, use in the mines to send out coals, it goes at a very slow speed, just as the miners needed it to be.. =) we tried the steam engine train, thank God we got a chance, we sat on the last train.. =)
and the last tram back to the pitt stop station.. =) this was the captain driving it.. =)
After closing time, we went to newcastle clock tower and
Newcastle castle...
went back to china town to eat malaysian food.. =) this is lychee with cincau.. haha
and this lemon chicken rice.. hmm.. not as good as penang food la.. but at least got a little taste of it le.. =)
This is the angel of the north... something famous but i still don't understand why.. the wings look like an airplane wings... it's made of steel.. worst part .. someone strip naked to sing a song for his girl.. my goodness me.. we see it from far.. and stop looking that direction.. hmmph..
but at least we saw sunset there.. =) it was beautiful~
